My Fashion Icon

A lot of people say I'm sort of a fashionista. I must agree with this. I have a very good stylist who makes sure all of my clothes are very special. Of course, the main thing piece I have to have in every outfit is the hairbow. Seeing how I was "made in Texas," my philosophy is the bigger the bow, the closer you are to God. Sure, call me silly, but that just means your bow isn't big enough. :)

Anyways, my all time favorite fashionista and style icon is...Harper Beckham. She doesn't have bows as big as me, but she certainly does have a classy style that I hope to copy.

I know how you feel, Harper. Sometimes you just gotta
stick your tongue at the papparazzi. Mine's usually my mom.

Long Week.

Sorry I haven't written in a while. I have had quite the week.

Tuesday morning, my house caught on fire. Luckily, God awoke my daddy from sleeping to catch it before anything or anyone was harmed. I'm currently staying between my Meemaw and Mimi's homes until my daddy finds us another house to move into.

I suppose this would be an opportune time to mention about the protection I have had from God's hand. Before I was born, my mommy carried another baby only for 9 short weeks. She prayed for a long time and very hard for the next baby to be healthy. She prayed specifically for me. She prayed that I would be a girl. She prayed that I would look like her.She prayed that I would be smart and beautiful. She prayed that I would have a sassy attitude. But, most importantly, she prayed that I would be brought into this world to be a light to Jesus. To be a person of character and integrity. To be a great Christian girl. From the first heartbeat, she knew that she was giving birth to someone special. Since the day I was born, I have battled weight issues (being underweight), sickness, and fires. But, God has protected me and made sure that I was safe. My mommy always says that God has a special plan for me, and I know that she and daddy pray for me everyday.

I can't wait to grow up and see what I can do to serve the Lord.

Love,
Lila

“Before I shaped you in the womb,
    I knew all about you.
Before you saw the light of day,
I had holy plans for you:
A prophet to the nations—
that’s what I had in mind for you.”
